This course provides a general survey of the functional and interdependent areas of business management, marketing, accounting and finance, and management information systems. The course includes business trends, operation and management of a business, ethical challenges, environmental responsibility, change, global perspectives, and the dynamic roles of management and staff. Additionally, the course incorporates aspects of team interaction and continuous process improvement. You are provided with the opportunity to explore the Internet and information technology relating to business operations.

2. Describe the functional areas of any business organization.
3. Explain revenues, expenses, and how profit is derived. Differentiate between objectives, strategies, tactics, and operations.

In this course, students will learn basic Microsoft Windows 10 Operating Systems skills (including Core PC Hardware Components, Graphical User Interface, Local and Cloud File Management, Applications, Internet Browsers, Security, and key System Utilities), Google Email, Contacts, Calendar, and Drive applications, as well as introduction to Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation applications. Additionally, students will learn to create and convert documents between different format (Microsoft and Google apps).
This course covers the complexities of the communication process and the impact of communication on obtaining employment. Includes insights into the causes and effects of general communication behaviors, involvement in active exploration of the basic communication theories and concepts, and opportunities to develop communication strengths.

1. Demonstrate understanding of group, public and personal communication theory.
2. Recognize and describe the relationship between nonverbal and oral communication as it relates to the workplace.
This course provides an introduction into electrical troubleshooting theory in troubleshooting common electrical problems including: low voltage, high voltage, unwanted resistance, open circuits, high resistance shorts-to-ground, and current and voltage unbalance. Efficiency technology and sustainable practices are covered. An effective troubleshooting methodology is embedded in this course.
