
Write a self-reflection paper. Address the following questions.
- Paragraph 1: Self-reflect. We are often team members of a group. Reflect on a group that you are currently involved with. Based on what you have read, reflect on the dynamics and reflect on your role in the group. Describe the group. Do you prefer working in a group or team environment, or working individually? For you as a team member, what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Describe your level of assertiveness within the group.
- Paragraph 2: Self-reflect. Think of a leader you admire and respect. How did this individual become a leader—for example, by appointment, democratic selection, or emergence? Describe this leader’s style—is the leader autocratic or laissez-faire, a technician, or a coach? Describe their level of assertiveness with this leader.
- Paragraph 3: Self-reflect. We are often leaders of one group or another. Reflect on a group that you were involved with or are currently involved with in which you are the leader. Describe how you became the leader? How would you characterize your leadership style? Describe your level of assertiveness within the group.
- Paragraph 4: Self-reflect. After reflecting on a leader that you admire and respect and your own leadership style, describe techniques that you could implement to improve your leadership style.

Paragraph 5: Self-reflect. Think of a problem encountered in the past by a group of which you are a member. Describe the problem. In view of the seven-step framework outlined in the chapter, describe which of the seven-step framework the group utilized. Would following the full seven-step framework have been helpful? How did the group solve the problem? How satisfactory was the solution?
